Staff Profile: Hayley Wedlake

Hayley Wedlake

Science Teacher / Biology

BSc Zoology, Cardiff University, UK

PGCE Science with Biology, Exeter University, UK

Hayley was born and raised in a beautiful part of Devon, England and has loved science from an early age. As a result she completed a Zoology degree and has since had experience in a variety of work places including a veterinary surgery, before getting a taste of the corporate world at a global oilfield service company in Scotland. For the past two years she has been teaching science to GCSE and Biology at A-level at Teign Academy in Devon, UK.  Hayley particularly enjoys teaching genetics and ecology as she is fascinated with how the natural world works.

As well as her passion for science Hayley also loves sport and the outdoors. When she is not hard at work, you can find her walking, swimming or horse riding. She used to compete at a high level in endurance riding and one day dreams of competing again.
