Staff Profile: Amy Murphy

Amy Murphy (571x800)

Deputy Head Teacher

BA (Hons) English, The University of Leicester, UK

PGCE English, The University of Leicester, UK

Amy joined BIS HCMC in August 2017, from an international school in Thailand. Prior to this she has worked in a fully comprehensive 14-19 school, two academies, a state boarding school (all in the UK), and a British school in Dubai, after qualifying as a teacher in 2002.  She became a teacher because she is passionate about her subject - English - and about helping students to become effective communicators and realise their potential. As a senior leader, she always puts the students at the heart of any decision she makes.  Outside of school, she has a lovely husband and two young daughters who also join the BIS HCMC community. She enjoys reading, running, cooking and spending time with her family.
