There were two successful coffee mornings this week

Events this week

Social coffee mornings

Dabrowskiego, Wednesday 23rd January 8.30am, PE Hall

We were so pleased to see so many of you on Wednesday, despite high levels of sickness hitting our parents and children, we had over 25 people, over 37 coffees from our resident barista and provider of homemade cookies Karina Kalinowska.

Thank you for coming and thank you to Karina for providing lovely coffee and cookies.

DAB coffeeM

Secondary Coffee morning, Wednesday 23rd January 8.30am, IB Learning Centre.

Over 20 parents came to hear Tim Clark, Head of Year 13, and Diana Szyperska, Careers & Work experience tutor.

We really enjoyed hearing about the work staff do with students to help them through the process of university selection and application and to equip them with the skills needed in the world of work.  It was fantastic to hear of very positive things we as parents can do support at home to support our children.

Thank you to Tim, Diana and Alison for helping organise this event and to all of you who came along.

Charities work

Work with Warsaw Volunteer Mission

Four of our families from school led by Renata Glinkowska worked with needy families in Piaseczno to distribute donated clothes, toys and household items and then to serve their homemade soup.

The action was organised in partnership with Warsaw Volunteer Mission.

Thank you very much to Renata Glinkowska, Nico Spirea, Lorena Doghi, Daira Janusa and their families for giving their time (and soup) so generously.

Update from collections before Christmas

We would love to share with you extracts from a letter we received from the Director of the Children’s public hospital in Olsztyn who were one of the recipients of the collection we did at the end of last term.

Your pre-loved donations were so very much appreciated.

“Thank you very much for donating the wonderful Christmas presents for the patients of our hospital.  Thanks to your collection, we received a huge amount of beautiful toys, games, soft toys and sweets which surely will bring great joy to our patients.  Children will be convinced that Saint Nicholas did not forget about them, even in hospital.  We also sincerely thank you in the names of the patients’ minders for donating the coffee machines, kettles and other items which we will put in the parents’ rooms located in the hospital wards.”
