This week we are pleased to meet Katie Hall who is IPC leader as well as Year 4 Teacher.

Katie Hall

Where are you from originally?

I am from Leicester in the UK.

Have you lived in any other countries?

I have lived in France briefly, Qatar for 4 years and now Warsaw.

Where and what did you study for your education?

I studied English Language and Literature at The University of Derby and I completed a PGCE at The University of Leicester.

How long have you been at TBS?

This is my second year at TBS.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at our school?

I enjoy working with such fabulous people and I like that every day is different. As a teacher, seeing the big ‘wow’ moments that children get when they learn something new makes my day!

What are you most looking forward to in the 2018/2019 academic year?

I am organising the trip to Space Camp for the Y5 and Y6’s this year so that will be fun!

Whose your favourite historian/scientist/literary figure and why?

Well I am a big reader. It is one of my favourite things to do to relax. Asking me to choose one is impossible. J.K Rowling played a big part in my childhood. I remember the first time I read Harry Potter at age 10 and being completely mesmerized. To create such a detailed and fascinating imaginary world is genius. But right now, I really enjoy reading Jodie Piccoult books. She covers some thoughtful situations.

What is your favourite thing about living in Warsaw, Poland?

The summer! I love how Warsaw changes in the summer. It feels like a completely different city.

What do you miss most from home?

Some of the clothes shops – River Island, Dorothy Perkins. I love to shop! And of course Cadbury chocolate!
