Opening Reception for IB Exhibition at the Australian Embassy

The exhibition is a selection of resolved artworks which the students have chosen to exhibit. The selected pieces show evidence of their technical accomplishment during the visual arts course and an understanding of the use of materials, ideas and practices appropriate to visual communication.

The opening exhibition will be on view from March 8th through March 9th, with an opportunity to talk to student artists and teachers from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th.  The student-named exhibition invites the public to browse our art collection, which details each student’s creative journey over the course of their Visual Arts IB experience through a wide range of art forms and media.

Ian Piper will make a few remarks at the opening reception at 6:30 p.m. on March 9th. Light appetizers and wine will follow.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Exhibiting artists are: Cecilia Millar-Rakisits, Sophie Spencer, and Antoni Stamm.

Due to security restrictions at the embassy, please RSVP to Jennifer.Clarke@biswashington.org by Monday, March 6th
