Afterschool Care

The British International School of Washington offers high-quality day an on-site afterschool care programme for children ages 2 - 11 called Acorns and Oaks.

Acorns and Oaks provides students with a safe and stimulating environment under the care of qualified play leaders, including some BISW staff who are already familiar to our students.

What Happens at Acorns and Oaks?

We offer a structured program to continue the high-quality care that you expect from BISW, while recognizing that students are also ready for something different from the classroom experience. A typical day at Acorns and Oaks includes:

  • 5 p.m. Outdoor play

  • 5:45 p.m. Clean-up and story time

  • 6 p.m. Final pick-up time, additional fees charged for late pick-ups.
