I’m glad to be able to work with the knowledge area that I’m really passionate for: languages.
I concluded my degree in Languages (Portuguese/English) in 2010, I went to my master’s degree (2012) and my doctor’s degree (2016) also in Languages by Mackenzie Presbyterian University, and I have worked as a Portuguese teacher since 2011 (at regular and cram schools, and also at universities).
Looking today, in perspective, I realize that since I was a child I have always been interested in the activity with language: reading, interpreting and writing texts have always been very pleasant activities for me, as well as studying the tools for communication and expression that are available through grammar.
I love literature: prose, the short stories and novels by authors such as Machado de Assis, Charles Dickens, Julio Cortazar, and also poetry, the works of great names of this writing field, as Manuel Bandeira and Carlos Drummond de Andrade. What fascinates me is the production of meanings through the multiple possibilities of meaning that the words can assume in a literary text. Maybe that’s why I can say that other area that really fascinates me is music, the songs, the bond between the lyrics and the melody most specifically.
One of my favorites and most frequent hobbies is to sing and to play the piano. Another one is to watch movies and series.
