Technical universities and colleges dominate Reuters’ first-ever ranking of Europe’s top 100 innovative universities, and boarding and day students from Regents International School Pattaya have this year received offers from several of them.

The Reuters list, published on Tuesday, identifies the educational institutions in Europe that are doing the most to advance science, invent new technologies, and help drive the global economy. Year 13 Students at Regents International School Pattaya have just completed their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme examinations and have received offers to study degrees at Imperial College London (ranked 2), Eindhoven (16), Erasmus University in Rotterdam (26) and Edinburgh University (32). Last year’s graduates took up places at several others, including RWTH Aachen (60) and the University of Warwick (84).

Assistant Head of the Secondary School at Regents International School Pattaya, Rachel Batty, commented: “Students like ours who complete the IB Diploma are well-prepared to achieve highly at cutting edge universities like these ones. With its emphasis on critical-thinking, intellectual curiosity and self-motivation, the IB creates advanced learners who are more than capable of handling the pace at the best universities in the world.

The results of this year’s IB Diploma examinations will be published in early June. Last year, students from Regents international School Pattaya achieved the highest overall average score and the highest single result for the whole of the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand.
