Middle School Weekly Updates

They say that time flies when you’re having fun. That, along with our days off for Hurricane Dorian, and we find ourselves already halfway through Quarter One! This is an opportune time to use Skyward and/or Canvas for checking grades, due dates, and calendars. We expect all students to monitor their progress regularly; in fact, we grant them specific time during homeroom for organizational tasks such as calendar perusal, grade checks, and message management. Such attention to life management skills is just one facet of preparing our students for the future. Gone are the days of dissemination of information; instead, we teach our Lakers to make sense of that information, working with it, applying it across content areas, and making meaningful connections.
