Character Education Program September Winners for Lower School Our Lower School character education program uses literacy to teach social and emotional learning competencies by helping students have a better understanding of self and others

Our Lower School character education program uses literacy to teach social and emotional learning competencies by helping students have a better understanding of self and others. The understanding and development of one’s character provides children with tangible tools and behaviors that empower them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. We encourage you to ask your child to share their book with you and discuss the trait of the month at home.

Last week we celebrated our September Character Education Program winners. Pre-Kindergarten through second grade studied perseverance and third grade through fifth grade studied humbleness. Students learn ways to demonstrate and live these traits to contribute to an overall model citizen in our community. Each classroom chooses a representative that exemplifies this trait to receive an award, a character education trait pin, and a goody bag. We are so proud of our September character trait winners!!
