Windermere Prep's Sixth Grader Neel Sahai wins first place in Chess Championship Congratulations to Neel Sahai, a Windermere Prep Sixth Grader wins first place in the 2019 Arnold Denker Florida State Chess Championship

Congratulations to Neel Sahai, a Windermere Prep Sixth Grader on his recent accomplishment of coming in first place in the 2019 Arnold Denker Florida State Chess Championship in the "Under 1800" category on October 6th. Neel won a trophy and prize money.

 

At the start of the tournament, Neel was ranked near the bottom among the 28 contestants in the U1800 category and by the end, Neel emerged at the top and was undefeated in the five games that he played over 2 full days where each game would last around 4 hours. Windermere Prep is proud of Neel and all his hard work. Great job Neel!
