Outstanding Results Achieved by our IB Diploma students for the 2019 - 2020 academic year

IB Student 2020
Outstanding Results Achieved by our IB Diploma students for the 2019 - 2020 academic year Our students achieve more than they may have thought possible. We believe there is no limit to what students can achieve socially, personally, and academically. This year, our students’ academic results reflect our shared commitment to excellence.

We are proud to share that our students at Windermere Preparatory School achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

For the 2019 - 2020 academic school year, Windermere Prep achieved a pass rate of 91% this year. The average score was 30, with our Top 25 students earning a 32, which is higher than the IB global average of 29.9 points, widening the gap between the school and other IB schools around the world.

"The International Baccalaureate Programme is an integral part of teaching and learning at Windermere Preparatory School. Not only does the IB challenge students academically, but the program also does an exceptional job of preparing them to succeed at college and university. I am exceptionally proud of the class of 2020 and their performance in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and I look forward to seeing them go on to be leaders in their college community," said Dr. Steven Lyng, Head of School.

The school is thrilled that hard work in IB courses has paid off for the class of 2020 with admissions into universities, such as Boston College, Wake Forest University, and Yale University.

As a family of schools, Nord Anglia schools recorded an average diploma score of 33 points out of 45, well above the global average score of 29.9 points. Nord Anglia also had a 94% diploma pass rate in its IB schools, which is significantly above the global average of 77.4% last year. This marks seven years of our global family exceeding average scores.

A huge congratulations to all our graduates and IBDP achievers for a job well done!
