ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION

Your stay in Florida

Students and chaperones from all schools will be staying at the Springhill Suites or Fairfield Inn in Marriott Village. Marriott Village is a gated hotel complex comprising of three Marriott-brand properties located in Lake Buena Vista — about a 20-minute drive southeast from Windermere Preparatory School.

Students will check in on Tuesday, November 29, and depart on Saturday, December 3. Chaperones will have their own room, while children will have their own bed in a shared room with one or two other students. Please note Windermere Preparatory students will not stay at a hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel, students will register to receive a name badge for evening activities, a room key, and a Global Games backpack with a sweatshirt, uniform, and more.

Getting around

All travel to the hotel, school, and evening activities will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education. Out-of-state and international students will fly to Orlando, while Florida students will travel by bus.

There are also prearranged buses to Windermere Preparatory School, the hotel, and all evening activities.

All flights will be booked by Nord Anglia Education. It will be the responsibility of the parents to drive their child to and from their home airport. Chaperones will only allow drop off and pick up of students with a parent present inside the airport. Please arrange to have at least one parent arrive and pick up at the arranged meeting point in the airport.

Chaperones

Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Students will be assigned a chaperone to ensure they supervised throughout the entire trip. Each chaperone will oversee ten students. Chaperones will be appointed by the Athletic Director of each school. Only school staff may chaperone.
