Windermere Prep Parent Volunteer Association

The WPVA is the Parent Volunteer Association at WPS. We're a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing support for the educational and recreational needs of our children through enrichment programs while promoting a sense of community to encourage school spirit and pride through planned events.

The WPVA is always looking for dynamic volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering during the 2025-26 school year, please read the descriptions below and fill out the Google Form to show your interest. Thank you all for your continued support of our school. School employees do not qualify.

Volunteer Opportunities

Lower School Room Coordinator

The lead room coordinator will comfortably be able to communicate with the teacher to plan and organize classroom events/parties per teacher instruction throughout the school year. The individual will be collecting and handling TAG funds, and distributing those funds based on the TAG budget for the class. They will also recruit and coordinate volunteers through teacher communication, sign up genius, or an approved text app. The individual will be responsible for timely reminders about school and classroom events. The room coordinators will keep parent and child contact information private, and will follow all school policies and procedures at all times by being a positive and helpful point of contact for parents. Opportunities available only to parents with children in grades PK3-5. School employees do not qualify.

Lower School Party Volunteer

This is a lower school fundraiser dance party in the gym. Volunteers are needed with set up, clean up, and to chaperone areas of the gym. This is a multiple day commitment to prepare and leading up to the dance party. Volunteering day of dance party is broken into two shifts, with the late shift ending by 11pm.

Lower School Holiday Shop Volunteer

Classes in the lower school come to the Holiday Shop to purchase holiday gifts for their family. Volunteers are needed to help set-up/take-down, help wrap gifts, take funds, and shop with the children. This is a one week commitment working closely with our Holiday Shop Coordinator. The Sunday prior to shop week will be scheduled to transport items and set them up. During sale week, your days are also filled with restock and inventory organization. Items need to be brought back to storage in bins at the conclusion of the sale. Vehicle usage is a requirement.

Middle School Mania Volunteer

Middle school team building event where students spend the day working and competing in teams. Volunteers are needed to help with providing and setting up lunch, serving food and cleaning up. This is a one day commitment from 8am-3pm.

Picture Day Volunteer

Help the children make sure they look their best when taking their school photo while checking in students and directing classes as they enter the gym. This is a 2-4 hour commitment during campus picture days.

Used Uniform Volunteer

Used Uniform Sales provide an opportunity for parents to purchase gently used uniforms. Volunteers are needed to help sort and organize uniform items, help set-up/take-down the Used Uniform Sales, and work during the sales. Serving on this committee is a full year commitment working closely with the Used Uniform Coordinator, meeting monthly. Sales are typically on conference days with one prior to the new school year.

Teacher Appreciation Week Volunteer

A week long celebration honoring our teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Volunteers are needed to help decorate, set up food stations, and clean up daily. This is a week long commitment ending by 2pm daily.

Concessions Volunteer

Join us as we offer concessions during sporting events. At times, we will be using a commercial grill and will require prep for hot foods such as burgers and hot dogs. Be a part of the fun by volunteering for set up and clean up duties. As a volunteer, you will hep set up a welcoming space for families to enjoy delicious food, fun, and community.

Adult Social Volunteer

Volunteer with us for adult social events if needed. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly. Duties may include welcoming guests, assisting with registration, directing attendees to various activities or refreshment areas, and providing support to event organizers as needed. Your involvement will help create a warm and engaging atmosphere, ensuring all guests have a memorable experience. Join us in fostering a sense of community and camaraderie on campus!

Lower School Book Fair Volunteers

Volunteers will assist students in selecting books to purchase or add to their wish lists, as well as help with the checkout process. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the setup and breakdown of the book fair.

Middle School Book Fair Volunteers

Volunteers will support the setup and breakdown of the book fair and assist with student checkout during the event.

General Volunteer

If you cannot commit to any specific committee or volunteer opportunity listed but want to be notified for any general volunteer opportunities, we will add you to our volunteer list and notify you as opportunities arise.
