Overview of next week’s learning

On the 1st June we have a Teddy Bear’s picnic when parents are invited to join us at school from 11:00 to 12:00 am for some games and a picnic lunch.

Parents are asked to contribute a small plate of snacks, and school lunch will be picnic foods of pizza, fish nuggets and chips.

The next Fairy Tale we will focus on is the story of Pinocchio. He is a puppet who turns into a real wooden boy. His challenge is that when he doesn’t tell the truth his nose grows! We will make our own puppets to encourage and develop our conversational skills.

We will continue with fine motor exercises daily. We are trying to have everybody develop their cutting skills but some children need more guidance than others and they all need careful supervision. If you would like to try at home then the children need proper Child Safety scissors that are quite blunt. At this stage they just need to snip into the edge of a piece of paper and later they can cut along lines or around a circle.

Enjoy the long weekend and we will see you again on Wednesday.
