After studying for four years at Leeds Beckett University, Francesca graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education, fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Having spent three years teaching in Years 4 and 5, and becoming a PSHE Co-Ordinator, Francesca decided to pursue her ambition of teaching internationally. In 2018, Francesca made the move to Shanghai, where she taught a wonderful class of Reception aged children, in an international pre-school. Here, she developed a passion for working with much younger children and furthered her understanding of the importance of the EYFS.
Many of the lifelong learning skills promoted in Early Years mirror Francesca’s own philosophy and are also reflected in the Be Ambitious ethos of BISS Puxi. Francesca is very much looking forward to working and learning alongside the many different families within the BISS community, as well as her extremely talented colleagues.
Since a very young age, Francesca has been extremely fond of travelling to new destinations. As her family members hail from Hong Kong, Francesca spent a vast amount of her childhood flying from her home in Liverpool to Kowloon, in order to visit her grandparents. This constant travelling fostered a passion for exploring new places, cultures and cuisines. To this day, Francesca still loves being adventurous with food and is always eager to try new local delicacies. Aside from cooking, Francesca also enjoys reading, art and partaking in sports activities.
