Thomas Hitchings
M.Ed, B.Ed (Hons)
Thomas has been at BISS Puxi since 2010 and is the founding manager of the BISCAP programme. He has had many roles in his eighteen years of teaching which started in Manchester as a school Sports Coordinator. It was for his excellent results in this role that he won the prestigious ‘Innovations in Sport’ award for raising attendance at extracurricular activities in deprived parts of the city.

PE Teacher
Meghan attended Loughborough University where she completed her BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. After completing her degree, she took up a graduate internship at the British International School, Phuket, where she supported the PE department, extracurricular and boarding programmes, and first started to develop her teaching. Meghan then returned to the UK to Loughborough University to complete her PGCE in Physical Education.
High Performance Olympic Gold Coach
Marlon was a professional sprinter for Great Britain for over twenty years. He competed in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay and is Britain’s most decorated male athlete with eighteen medals. He is best known for being one of the four athletes who won gold in the 100m relay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Marlon was recognised for his success with his fellow team mates and was awarded an MBE. Furthermore, he has honorary degrees from both Coventry and Warwick Universities for his dedication and successes in sport.
Head of Secondary PE
Neil is the Head of Secondary PE, having joined BISS Puxi in August 2018. He started his teaching career in 2002 at The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College in Hartlepool, where he gained experience as a teacher of Physical Education and Head of Year. In 2006, he and his wife Elizabeth, who also teaches in the Primary School at BISS, moved to Shanghai to work.
PE Teacher and Head of Year 7
Kyle Moffett joined BISS Puxi in August 2019. He has been a teacher of PE for the last nine years, following the completion of his BSc Hons in Sport and Exercise Science, and his PGCE in PE from the University of Ulster. He began his teaching career in Northern Ireland before developing a keen passion for challenge and travel, moving to Australia, England and then the United Arab Emirates to teach.
PE Teacher and Head of Year 9
David qualified in 2006 from Liverpool John Moore’s University with a BA (Hons) in Sports Development with Physical Education, followed by a PGCE in Physical Education in 2007 from the University of Greenwich.
