Dear Parents,

What a busy end to our academic year!  This week has been a mixture of parties: Prom, Masquerade Ball, EYC Party and celebratory class parties. In addition, we have had House team events, which have been of a sporting and musical nature. The week finished with our final Principal Award Assembly - a great time to celebrate the successes of the year. Congratulations to all of our Principal Award recipients who have really shone when showing characteristics from our Aide Memoire: Care, Respect and Integrity. Many received the award for being excellent global citizens and demonstrating that they are truly being ambitious. These are quality held in high esteem at BIS.

Today was a time for farewells too. I know we have a number of families who are relocating. It is always hard to say goodbye and we wish our leavers the very best of success in their new countries and schools. A number of amazing and committed BIS teachers also said goodbye today. I know they take with them many fond memories of Hanoi, BIS and the terrific students here.

Over the summer, we have many campus improvements scheduled. Following the success of our library project, there will be a transformation of our IT learning areas to reflect the needs of 21st Century Learners. This will link with our new collaboration with MIT. Another project will be a re-design of our showers and changing rooms in the Sports Hall. More showers, improved non-slip tiles and a redesign to improve the space available are all incorporated in the project.

I would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday and look forward to welcoming you back on August 22nd.

Ms Sue Hill, Principal
