Year 10 is having a fun trip to Dalat.
Day 1 (15/10):
We have arrived safely at camp after a slightly delayed flight from Hanoi got us to Dalat at around 1pm. Students enjoyed a trip to the Datanla Falls taking the alpine rollercoaster to reach it. After a short boat ride to the campsite we are preparing for some team building games.
Day 2 (16/10):
Yesterday was a very busy first day for our year 10 students. Split into 2 groups, group A did a high rope course and hike. Group A had the exhilarating challenge of tackling the high ropes course. Students bravely stepped out of their comfort zone on the zip line, monkey bridge and puzzling A challenge. Every single student even did the Leap of Faith - an adrenaline pumping jump from an elevated platform high up in the forest.
Group B did an impressive hike through the pine forest and impressed us with their resilience on what was a tough walk. The students then had to overcome their fears and abseil down a 25 metre rock face. The students impressed us again with their bravery and support of each other. The evening was well spent with some music and marshmallows around the fire before an early bed after a busy day.
The students of both group A and B had a great fun at raft building activity in the afternoon where they shown an amazingly collaborative team effort. All 8 teams together made their own raft design to meet the requirements of being buoyant and doable to fit 3 people to paddle along the race track twice. Despite getting soaked, everyone had a great time spent with lots of laughters.
Day 3 (17/10):
Group A and group B swapped activities on Thursday. So Group A did the hike at Langbian Mountain with a 25 metre abseil and Group B did a high ropes course followed by a hike. Group B did a fantastic job of the high ropes course, showing bravery during the scary leap of faith, and showing support to other students who were feeling nervous. The students were great at looking after each other and really impressed the teachers with their kindness. After a lovely lunch, the students went for a long hike though the beautiful countryside.
We arrived to the hotel and met up with group A students. After showers we went to for a lovely buffet dinner, after which some of the students performed in a talent show for everyone. All the acts were fantastic, the students really enjoyed the show.
