Key dates | Primary Learning Highlights
Dear Parents,
This week teachers have been writing reports after school in preparation for the end of Term 1 assessments that will be shared on the 16th of December. There is a Parent Connect session on Wednesday 7th of December at 9 am where I will talk more about how we assess in the Primary school, and how to interpret the reports that are shared. Please sign up if you are able to attend and I look forward to seeing you there.
Our Friends of BIS have been very active over the last few weeks. This week saw MarieMiel, one of our parents run an amazing cooking class for 17 parents with a focus on food from the Philippines. It was a great morning where parents bonded and got to learn how to cook and enjoy new flavours. This is our second cooking session for parents and we look forward to more over the year.
Our first Friends of BIS Flea market took place last Saturday morning and despite the rain we saw lots of people stopping by to pick up some pre-Christmas bargains. There is a Chocolate workshop scheduled on Monday 12th of December for parents, in Hanoi. Please see the details below if you would like to sign up. We are running a bus from school to and from the event locations if you’d like to sign up for that as well.
Finally, it’s not just parents who are having all the fun! This week our Year 6 students from Primary choir are performing at the lighting of the tree ceremony at the Moose +Roo in Hai Ba Trung. The performance will start at 7pm so please come along and support our super singers if you can.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

As we move towards the end of term, our Primary exit points are always a great celebration of learning that has taken place over previous weeks and months.
At BIS, in addition to the excellent opportunities we are providing in the classroom, we enrich the students experiences and learning by taking them on day trips.
