Dear Parents,
Welcome back to Term 2 and a happy new year. A very warm welcome to all new families joining our BIS community this term! It was wonderful welcoming students back to school on Wednesday morning and seeing the big smiles and greetings as students reconnected after the winter break. Naturally, there are a few nervous smiles from our new students, but it is incredible to see how in a few short days they are already more confident as they become more familiar with BIS and start to settle.
This week we have also been welcoming parents from F1-Y2 into school for Parents’ Evenings. These sessions are an invaluable opportunity to come in and sit with your child’s class teacher and learn more about their progress, learning, and next steps. Teachers were proud to share student work, assessments, and progress updates during these sessions. Thank you to everyone who attended. Next week, Year 3-6 Parents’ Evenings are happening on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It's not too late to book an appointment through School Cloud.

As the academic year whirls by, the first term in primary school draws to a close, marking the end of a whirlwind of learning, growth, and new experiences.
As we move towards the end of term, our Primary exit points are always a great celebration of learning that has taken place over previous weeks and months.
At BIS, in addition to the excellent opportunities we are providing in the classroom, we enrich the students experiences and learning by taking them on day trips.
