Primary School Update (22 September 2023)

Weekly update from Head of Primary

Dear Parents,

It was a pleasure to have so many of you join us at school this week to provide updates on the children's progress and adjustment to the new academic year. I could see big smiles on our teachers faces as they greeted parents in to talk about your one of our amazing and incredible students in the Primary school.

Over the course of the year, there are five scheduled opportunities where parents are updated and informed on the progress of their children as set out in the table below.

18th – 21st September	Primary Parents’ Evening
9th December	Primary Report 1 is issued
15th – 17th January	Primary Parents Evening
May	Shared learning, child led celebration of their achievements this year
End of Term 3	Primary Report

In addition to these opportunities, parents are more than welcome to contact class teachers if you need an update or have any questions about your child’s progress.

Parent Connect Workshop Reading F3 to Y2 | BIS Hanoi

Further to the assessment and reporting process, we endeavour to build time for parent drop ins. These have a curriculum focus and are designed to better understand our approaches to teaching and learning. Following the success of Key Stage 2 reading drop in, Ms. Lucy will be delivering our EYFS – Key Stage 1 Reading Parent connect on Tuesday 26th September. We look forward to seeing you there.

Primary CCA | BIS Hanoi

Next week, we‘re excited to see the start of our CCA program across the whole school. I look forward to talking to the students about what enrichment activities they’re doing and can’t wait to see the students making new friends and learning more through these activities.
