BIS Hanoi students participate in the Nord Anglia SuSTEAMability Festival 2025

BIS Hanoi students participate in the Nord Anglia SuSTEAMability Festival 2025 | British International School in Hanoi - BIS Hanoi students participate in the NAE 2025 SuSTEAMability Festival
A group of BIS Hanoi students recently participated in the NAE 2025 SuSTEAMability Festival, held at St. Andrew’s International School Bangkok. Bringing together young students from Nord Anglia schools across Southeast Asia, the festival challenged them to explore one of today’s most pressing global issues: waste and sustainability.

The student-led event focused on using the STEAM disciplines—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics—to design innovative solutions for a more sustainable future. Over several days, student teams collaborated across schools and cultures, applying their research, creativity, and problem-solving skills to develop real-world prototypes aimed at reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices.

From creating biodegradable packaging to designing smart recycling systems, the ideas showcased were both imaginative and practical. Alongside the project work, students engaged in a series of expert talks, hands-on workshops, and interactive exhibitions that encouraged them to think critically, work as a team, and take meaningful action.

The festival offered our students a valuable opportunity to connect with peers from across the region, deepen their understanding of sustainability, and see firsthand how they can be part of the solution to global challenges. They returned to BIS Hanoi inspired, empowered, and ready to share what they’ve learned with our school community.
