Year 7 have been looking at forces and spent a little time making parachutes to experiment with the effect on the air resistance if the shape or size of the parachute canopy is changed. In other words, will the parachute fall faster or slower?
A lot of thought went into making the parachutes and a lot of excitement was had dropping them from the third-floor balcony.
We will look at the results later in the week to evaluate what was found.

On our most recent Hungarian trip the Year 12 students had a chance to explore the 20th century art movements in Hungary and also get a glance into the life of, one of Hungary’s greatest poets, Ady Endre.
20 students in Years 5 and 6 recently took part in the Primary Maths Challenge. Nuala and Athena achieved a Gold award and Vlada achieved a Silver award. Other students earned Bronze or Participation certificates.
The BISB WOLVES had an exciting and challenging end to Season 1, participating in the prestigious NAGGE (Nord Anglia Global Games Europe) U19 Volleyball Tournament, hosted by TBS, Warsaw. Last year, our boys' team returned as champions, and the girls' team earned a silver medal.
