We are delighted to announce that Mr. Andrew Lancaster, Principal of BISS Puxi, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Magnolia Award as part of the Shanghai Magnolia Awards conferred by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. This recognition celebrates his sustained contributions to international education, community engagement, and cross-cultural exchange in Shanghai.
In 2021, Andrew received the Silver Magnolia Award, and it is an honour for him to be presented with the Gold Award. Andrew was one of only 28 foreign nationals to receive the award this year.

About the Magnolia Awards
Conferred by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government to honour foreign friends who have made outstanding contributions to Shanghai’s international cooperation and urban development.
It is one of the highest official honours given to foreign residents and sits just below Honorary Citizenship.
The 2025 decision was issued on 29 August 2025, with congratulations extended at the National Day Reception on 30 September 2025.
