Established in 1978 as the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, IMG Academy has grown into a global leader in sports education. This year’s NAE-UNICEF Student Summit will take place in Houston, Texas, from 12 to 19 June 2024. We are thrilled to announce that the following three students have been selected to represent BISS Puxi at the summit: Tianyu, Jaeyoon and Salma!

Vanessa and Suzanne Marton graduated from BISS in 2012, and both went on to study Law at the London School of Economics & Political Science and University of Oxford, respectively. We recently received the very exciting news that three of our students have won special awards for their exceptional performances in last summer's Pearson Edexcel IGCSE examinations — ahead of 70,000 students globally. The Pearson Outstanding Learner Awards recognise students who have achieved the highest marks in subjects in their country or across the whole world.

This academic year has been a remarkable one for the aspiring mathematicians at the British International School, Shanghai. Our students have not only excelled in the recent UKMT Senior Maths Challenge but are also gearing up for the upcoming British Mathematical Olympiad (BMO), set to be held today.

Leading international schools provider Nord Anglia Education today announced the launch of its groundbreaking new education magazine called INSIGHTS.

The new publication offers a comprehensive look into hot-topic aspects of global education, tackling topics from emotional health in young people to the role of technology, artificial intelligence in learning, and what the future of education and wellbeing could look like.

Internationalism is one of our core pillars at BISS Puxi. To celebrate this, our school community came together to showcase the rich tapestry of cultures represented among our students and staff. From captivating performances to fantastic lessons, the International Week truly created an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere that fostered mutual understanding and respect.

Global Campus can be said to be one of the jewels in the Nord Anglia crown. As an international family of schools, we are extremely fortunate to have access to our own high-quality online learning platform. In our drive to educate future-proof world citizens, Global Campus allows our students to develop their knowledge, improve their thinking skills and unleash their creativity.

On Wednesday 27 September,  the Secondary EAL Department held a parent workshop for all parents with students in Secondary EAL in Years 7-10. The purpose of this event was to allow us the opportunity to meet our parent community, introduce the EAL Department and what we do as well as answer any questions.

Throughout the final week before the October holiday, all of our Secondary Mandarin students took part in cultural activities ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival on Friday 29 September. The students learned how to make moon cakes as well as learning about some of traditional elements of the festival. The delicious moon cakes were made during their lessons – the students really enjoyed themselves in the process.
