The children had the opportunity to use a range of analogue cameras including a Holga, four lens action shooter, an Olympus trip and a double lens Holga. They are looking forward to seeing the results when their photographs have been developed. Very different to the instant results on an iPad!
Alongside experiencing the practical side of photography, the children have been learning about how to compose a good photograph. This has included a technique called ‘leading lines’. The children talked about the different lines that could be seen in our school environment and came to the conclusion that we are literally surrounded by lines. They then used these lines to lead the viewer into the photograph towards their subject. Take a look at some of their photographs.
