Chinese Update

Chinese Update | BSB Sanlitun - Chinese Update

After a pleasant golden week break, the students returned to school and had a busy fun week back.

Nursery were learning about transportation. They enjoyed the stories and dance about transportation and they liked the song ‘the wheels on the bus’ very much! They tried their best to copy the actions and dance along the song. They also created their own buses, cars and trains with blocks and Lego.

Year 1 Native Chinese students learnt a rhyme song 对韵歌, which is about pair words in traditional Chinese culture. They have been working very hard to study the new Chinese characters. They used their Connection Finding skills to find the pair words in and beyond the textbook.

Students in Year 2 Native Chinese group were learning a text about Chinese character riddle. They have learnt some basic skills to find the answers to riddles. They have also practised their skills successfully in class which made them very proud.

Year 4 Native Chinese students learnt a text about planting trees. They applied their Fluent Thinking skills to write as many near shaped Chinese characters as they could while learning the new Chinese characters. Everyone enjoyed this activity very much.

What a dynamic week!
