This week in nursery’s Chinese lessons we had great fun learning the story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We talked about some feelings we might have, such as happiness, sadness and excitement, when going through different events. We learned about different kinds of bears and talked about how they live. We played games, acted out bear actions and more!
Year 1 (non-native group) students learned how to speak about daily life. We used a variety of vocabulary and did activities to practise their speaking. Also, the children practised Chinese calligraphy using brushes and ink to draw gorgeous Chinese strokes and simple characters.
Year 4 and Year 5 students non-native group used their Fluent Thinking skills, coming up with lots of great ideas to help them write their own story. We used a collection of vocabulary, story maps, and visual aids to allow the students to write creatively. They enjoyed sitting on the carpet to share their books and answered the questions from the other students about the books they made on their own.
