Join Our Open Morning
Outdoor Exploration – what a perfect way to end our morning activities!
Pre-Nursery and Tadpoles try to go outside to explore the learning opportunities on offer every day. Our outdoor space, where we held our picnic, provides a safe space for children to move quickly building their physical fitness including muscle tone, heart strength and balance. Our children love to run freely in this safe space, play racing and chasing games, kicking soft balls, and balancing on our logs. The seesaw is always popular, and many children wait their turn to use it every day.
The smiling faces and excitement we see when the children explore the outdoor environment, shows us just how much they enjoy being outside in the fresh air. What a great way to burn off energy and catch some Vitamin D at the same time. Much of the area is shaded but we still remind all the children that they should wear a hat outside.
The Pre-Nursery and Tadpoles quickly learnt how to control the tap to fill tubs with water which makes the dry sand and soil, wet. They are using their fine motor skills to control the tap and gross motor skills to carry the water to the sand pit, mud kitchen and water tray. It has been wonderful to see the children working together to fill the water tray each morning.
We will continue to post photos on Seesaw but wanted to share a selection with you here, ‘Hooray for being Outside!’
