Our Pre-Nursery children have had a wonderful week filled with exciting activities and opportunities for exploration. Continuing our topic All About Me, with a particular focus on community identity, we enjoyed an engaging tour around our Early Years building, discovering the different sea animals displayed outside each classroom. The children loved learning the names of the sea animals and had great fun imitating their movements.
They also enjoyed exploring painting and designing their own classroom sea creature pictures, as well as creating their own individual artwork. Through these activities, our little ones began to understand that they belong to a particular class and that this is our very own special little community.
In addition, the children experienced their first fire drill of the term, an essential activity for keeping everyone safe. To prepare them, we have been sharing stories and enjoying songs about fire stations. We were very impressed by both the Pre-Nursery and Tadpoles children - a massive well done to all of them! Everyone followed instructions carefully, moved to the playground calmly, and stayed composed throughout the drill. It was wonderful to see their confidence and understanding grow, and we are extremely proud of how well they managed the experience.
Overall, it has been a joyful and memorable week, full of learning, laughter, and celebrations. We are so proud of our little community and look forward to more exciting adventures and special moments together in the weeks ahead.
