In March, more than 200 international educators from 15 countries around the globe will descend on Hanoi to innovate, problem solve and brainstorm at one of the world’s largest academic conferences.
Hosted by Nord Anglia Education schools, the British International School Hanoi and the British Vietnamese International School Hanoi, world-leading education experts will discuss the exciting future of education, including how to enhance the educational journey for children using AI in education.
Principal from BSY, Alison Fox emphasised the importance of global learning and teaching collaborations, to ensure children continue to experience an outstanding education that prepares them to thrive in life.
“As a Nord Anglia school, our commitment to global learning and collaborative teaching is paramount. In the pursuit of an exceptional education, we prioritise these connections to empower our students, ensuring they are well-prepared not just for academic success, but to thrive as global citizens in an increasingly inter-connected world” Alison said.
Special guest, Nord Anglia Education Chief Education Officer Dr Elise Ecoff will also join from the United Kingdom, to share pioneering developments in Nord Anglia-led digital research and advancements, and AI in education – how they’ll all work together to create an enriching foundation for children in Vietnam.
Other guest education innovators will meet with parents, students and the wider Hanoi community to share best practice, exciting new research and innovation in education.
Malia Akinci, Art teacher at the British School Yangon said a Nord Anglia Education conference is unlike any other learning and teaching conference in the world.
“As a teacher I am truly excited about the fantastic opportunities available to us, such as presenting at the Global Education Conference, which exemplify Nord Anglia's commitment to professional development. It's rewarding to be part of an organisation that values growth and global perspectives, ultimately enriching our teaching practices and, by extension, our students' learning experiences” Malia said.
‘Music is a language the whole world speaks’ – An adapted quote from the famous 19th Century Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that still rings true today. Music has always had an influence in every culture across the globe and seems to be intrinsically and instinctively universal.
Last year marked an exciting chapter for the British School Yangon as we launched our first MIT challenges, designed to push the boundaries of learning by encouraging students to dive deep into hands-on, collaborative problem-solving. From Early Years to Year 10, students engaged in challenges that stimulated their curiosity, sharpened their critical thinking, and connected classroom knowledge to real-world applications. What started as an initiative has now become a defining feature of our curriculum.
We are excited to share a significant milestone in our journey: The British School Yangon (BSY) has officially received accreditation from the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). This prestigious recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality education that aligns with British standards.
