OUR EYFS CURRICULUM

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) creates a strong foundation for entry into Primary school for children up to 5 years old. At BVIS HCMC, we make sure pre-Nursery (F1—2-3 years old), Nursery (F2—3-4 years old), and Reception (F3—4-5 years old) children get the highest quality education in an environment full of curiosity, wonder and discovery. Your child will enter Primary with the knowledge and skills they need for a successful school life.

A unique bilingual phonics programme

While in pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception, your child will thrive through our seven Early Learning Goals in both Vietnamese and English. Our pioneering bilingual phonics programme will nurture their dual language skills, until they’ll be able to switch between the two languages seamlessly.

Highly experienced teachers

Great teachers ignite creativity and instil a love of learning. All our teachers are fully qualified, with years of experience working with young children. Our Early Years team build great relationships with parents, sharing their expertise in regular parent workshops, parent meetings, reports, online learning portfolios, and formal and informal updates.

Your child's teacher will plan engaging and inspiring learning experiences tailored to your child’s interests, ensuring they meet their milestone goals. A supportive and close partnership with parent

We recognise that parents are the most important people in a child’s life, and great advocates on the learning journey. We understand the importance of healthy communication, and nurture close relationships with parents to enhance our students' learning experience. There are a number of ways we maintain this, through individual learning portfolios, weekly publications and parent meetings.

Our staggered entry

Early childhood education is tailored to allow young minds to confidently transition into full time learning. This approach will also give your child's teacher time to get to know them, and give them dedicated time, care and attention during the early stages of starting at a new school. During this time, new students make friends, learn more about the educators in their class, become familiar with routines and structures at a comfortable pace. Our Foundation 1 children usually take a little longer to settle in compared to the Foundation 3 children, but all children are different, and we'll work with you to decide on the most appropriate schedule for your child.
