GREAT JOURNEYS START WITH SMALLS STEPS AT BVIS HCMC
Regarding the success of BVIS's bilingual phonics program, the school would like to express our sincere gratitude for the significant contributions of Professor Nguyen Thi Ly Kha - Associate Professor, Doctor, formerly Senior Lecturer in the Department of Elementary Education at the University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Ly Kha has dedicated a great deal of time and passion to collaborate with the BVIS teaching team, particularly Ms. Ha Nguyen in Primary, to develop and refine the phonics program for our Early Years and Primary students.
Our unique bilingual phonics program has been a source of pride for BVIS for over 10 years, with the aim of nurturing proficiency in both English and Vietnamese languages and establishing a solid foundation for students before transitioning to the international IGCSE and A Level programs in Secondary.
Thanks to this innovative phonics program, BVIS was honored to be selected as one of the 10 nominated schools for the 2023 World's Best School Award for Innovation, presented by T4 Education in collaboration with Accenture and American Express.
During the visit to BVIS on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, Professor, Doctor Ly Kha expressed delight at the changes and successes of the school over the years.
She shared, "I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute to and develop the bilingual phonics program with BVIS. It is truly gratifying to know that thanks to this program, many generations of BVIS students have grown, studied, and worked all over the world with a global mindset, while still preserving and appreciating Vietnamese culture, traditions, and language."
Once again, BVIS extends deep gratitude to Ms. Ly Kha and wishes her even more success in the future.
