As we begin the 2026 portion of the school year, I am delighted to welcome our entire community back to campusrefreshed, re-energized, and ready for what lies ahead. There is something truly special about starting a new year together, reconnecting with one another and continuing the meaningful work we do every day in service of our students. We are especially pleased to welcome new families and new staff members joining the Country Day School community this semester. One of the things that makes CDS such a remarkable place is the warmth, kindness, and sense of belonging that define who we are. I know our community will ensure that everyone feels supported and at home from day one. As we closed the final weeks of 2025, our campus was filled with moments that reflected this spirit of connection and purpose. Among them was the privilege of hosting the Nord Anglia Education Senior Leadership Program (SLP)—an experience that speaks directly to our values and our commitment to purposeful, values-driven leadership. A Moment of Global Collaboration and Reflection For the fourth consecutive year, our campus became a hub for collaboration, deep thinking, and purposeful leadership as we welcomed nearly 40 senior leaders from across the global Nord Anglia Education family. Expertly led by Jenny McWalter and founded by Inderjit Dehal, the Senior Leadership Program brings together leaders from schools and central teams around the world to reflect, collaborate, and growboth professionally and personally. For over 10 years, this program has equipped leaders across the globe to: Navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence Collaborate effectively across functions and cultures Make principled, values-aligned decisions Lead with clarity, courage, and empathy At its core, the program is not about titles—it is about identity, impact, and responsibility as a Nord Anglia leader. A defining element of this year’s program was a real-world problem of practice rooted in our own context: how schools can design inclusive education programs that are sustainable, high-quality, and responsive to the diverse needs of students. Participants engaged deeply with our learning support team, parents of children in the learning support program, and senior leaders, offering thoughtful insights that will continue to inform our work as we move forward. Proud Hosts, Looking Ahead As we step into 2026 together, we do so with optimism, purpose, and a shared commitment to helping every student grow, exceed, and thrive. Experiences like hosting the Nord Anglia Education Senior Leadership Programremind us that learning is lifelong, leadership matters, and community is at the heart of everything we do. Experiences like this also reflect who we are as a school: A place where learning is authentic and future-focused A community that values collaboration, reflection, and growth A partner in creating transformative leadership experiences across the globalNord Anglia Education family Thank you to our students, families, and educators for being part of what makes Country Day School such an extraordinary place to learn, work, and belong. We invite you to stay connected with our community as we move forward into 2026 celebrating learning, strengthening inclusion, and shaping the future together at Country Day School.
