DCIS students gain top spots in race-against-the-clock word building game for FOBISIA schools
We would like congratulate DCIS students on their Word Mania performance. Out of all FOBISIA schools, DCIS’s Year 2 students came second and Year 3 students came third.
LiteracyPlanet, a leading literacy education programme, created a challenge for our pupils: have fun developing their literacy skills with the chance to win prizes for our school.
The game was Word Mania, a free competition involving a fun online application that challenges students to build as many words as they can in three minutes. The competition is judged according to year group for both participation and skill level, and was open to students from Years 1 to 9.
The prizes will go towards a LiteracyPlanet subscription, as our students are currently using their trial period fantastically well, with over 5,700 literacy activities completed.
