The girls took on the Global Indian International School in their first basketball match of the season and what a start they had!
Despite their nerves, they took control of the court from the beginning and dominated the first quarter taking a 4 – 2 lead. The girls held the lead throughout the game despite the tough opposition they faced. They kept up a strong defence but their offense was even more powerful with most of the action being spent in our attacking half and we saw some fantastic goals being scored by every member of the team! The girls supported one another both on and off the court, displaying excellent team work and communication skills. They really did themselves proud and were absolutely delighted with the final score: DCIS 18 – 15 GIIS.
Well done girls! What an incredible game, I can’t wait for the rest of the season!
