U16 Girls Football:
The Lionesses played a great end to end game with SJI on Monday. There was great team spirit shown by both sides. The game ended 1-0 to DCIS. Women of the match were definitely Keeva and Tegan, both girls showed resilience and diversity on the pitch.
Well done Lionesses!

U12 Netball:
On Thursday 27th September, the U12 Netball first and second team played UWC and TTS respectively. The first team secured a fantastic victory against UWC beating them 5-3 in what was a very close game. The defense worked tirelessly to ensure UWC were unable to work the ball into the D while the attackers moved the ball quickly up court and into our own D allowing us to score.
The second team had a hard fight against Tanglin, conceding 9 nets in the first two quarters. After some encouragement from Coach Lesley they finally managed to score and only conceded one more net in the following two quarters.
All the girls played fantastic netball and should be very proud.

U9 Boys Football, A team:
They were in fine spirits as they strode onto the pitch for their first match against the hosts, who they had dispatched on match day 1. The game turned out to be a cagey affair with both teams cancelling each other out and, unsurprisingly, finished 0-0.
Game 2 presented the stiff challenge of DCSG, who defeated us on match day 1. Strong tackling by Yu and Michael, non-stop running from Tim and Mr. Reliable (Luca) in goal presented Dulwich with problems. Their biggest challenge was trying to stop twinkle toes Tomoki who had a splendid game down the left wing. The team's performance deserved a goal and up popped Izaki to drive the ball home and secure a 1-0 victory. The Lions are feeling at home in Division 1. Well done boys!

U9 Boys Football, B1 and B2:
On Tuesday, Mr. Johnson’s and Mr. Handley’s under 9 football teams travelled to Nexus International School for matchday 2.
The first match was the second DCIS derby between the Dover Court sides in as many weeks. Mr Johnson’s side were out for revenge, having suffered a tough defeat two weeks prior and they were duly rewarded for their efforts, securing a convincing 2-0 win. This was the first defeat of the season for Mr. Handley’s side. Could they bounce back…?
The second match of the afternoon was against a strong DCSG side. After chances went to both teams, it looked like the game would finish in a 0 – 0 draw. However, with less than 3 minutes remaining, it was young Zach who came up with the goods - a ferocious half volley strike leaving the keeper stranded. 1-0 to the Lions.
And the drama continued in the third game of the afternoon against matchday hosts, Nexus. Countless chances fell to both sides with Ramiz and Harry providing robust defending throughout. The game reached a climax in its dying embers; a wonderful lifted through ball from the ever creative Diego put Felipe (who was playing in a new role as striker) through on goal… only to be bought down by a Nexus defender! The resulting injury time penalty was coolly fired home by top goal scorer Adam, 1-0 Lions!
However it was the final game of the afternoon that proved to be the pick of the fixtures. Mr. Handley’s side would play the German European School Singapore (GESS) and this match had it all; industrious performances from Sid and Diego in particular who worked tirelessly for the team. At 2-1 to the Lions, the GESS strikers forced a truly outstanding save from Jung Woo, drawing a round of applause from Parents and teachers from both sides. However football can be a cruel game and, only moments later, a last gasp goal kick from the GESS keeper bounced high over Jung Woo who was unable to keep it out of the goal. The match finished 2 – 2 which was a fair result for both teams.
Overall it was a pulsating afternoon of Under 9 football. Well done to all of the boys on a fantastic effort and some great results.

The U9 Lionesses hosted the ACSIS round on Tuseday. The girls are really coming together as a team and did brilliantly in all four games. It is great to see how hard they work on the pitch and how much they all are enjoying the game.

The Under 12 rugby team continues to shine. Yesterday the played two games, one againt TTS and one againt UWC, winning both!
