As part of our year-long 50th anniversary celebration, we hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of our purpose-built centre for inclusive education, brand new indoor sports hall, and the DCIS Expressive Arts Hub, boasting specialist classrooms for drama, arts, music and design technology.
Our Principal Mr Richard Dyer kicked off with a welcome speech, celebrating our long history in Singapore and highlighting recent achievements of Dover Court International School including:
Distinguished guests, staff, the DCA community and Doverians came together for a morning of celebration. We were delighted to welcome Nord Anglia Educations' Regional Managing Director Shaun Williams; British Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director, David Kelly; British High Commission's Deputy High Commissioner, Alex Bamford and West Coast GRC MP, Rachel Ong Sin Yen as Guests of Honour.
It was also an absolute honour to have our former principal Dr Maureen Roach grace this momentous occasion.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, student ambassadors from Years 11 and 12 gave a tour of the new facilities and the event ended on a sweet note with light refreshments.
Thank you to all guests, the Dover Court community and Nord Anglia Education for supporting us through this expansion. We are very excited about the future and the next 50 years of our history.
