DCIS Year 4 Students Epitomise School Values during Residential Trip

News Detail - DCIS Year 4 Students Epitomise School Values during Residential Trip

“It was the best day of my life!” - Saha

"I didn’t like the trip... I loved it!" - Isaac

“I loved how everyone was being so kind.” - Sebastian

Learning new survival skills, toasting marshmallows over fire, exploring the mangroves, playing in the pool and participating in the Park Olympics were among the many activities enjoyed by during the recent Year 4 Residential Trip. This excited group of students ventured north from the 11th to the 12th of May to explore a new part of Singapore. It was a true adventure, taking students out of the classroom and their comfort zones.

We are so proud of each and every one of these students for throwing themselves into the different challenges, working together and showing the true values of Dover Court.

Alice Bagshaw, Year 4 teacher

School trips are a vital part of our curriculum at Dover Court International School. They enable children to transfer their learning into contexts beyond the classroom. Trips are linked to the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) topics studied in school like “Island Life” and “The Explorer" and provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning and discussion. Our rich programme of trips broadens students’ horizons and instil a lifelong love of adventure. Learn more here.
