Teacher of Psychology (Secondary School)

An outline of the role

The role of Psychology Teacher in the Secondary School requires inspiration, passion and adaptability as an educator.  The successful candidate should be an outstanding motivator, learner, administrator and communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, and should be capable of preparing students for International Baccalaureate programmes in a stimulating, challenging and well-organised learning environment. He/She should be able to provide high quality teaching and learning, make effective use of resources, and ensure achievement for all students. He/She should be flexible, creative and innovative and should be able to collaborate with colleagues in school and with colleagues across the Nord Anglia Education network of schools.

The Secondary School

It is our aim in the Secondary School to give the children in our care a full and exciting school experience. We want the students to maximise their potential; to achieve more than they thought possible. Secondary School students will be encouraged to explore new disciplines, skills and interests; to give everything a try and in doing so learn to take risks and to risk failure. It is our belief that in doing this we are enabling them to find their passion and that ‘thing’ that really makes them tick, which will in turn support everything else that they do. At LCIS, we will ensure that students are able to do this, knowing they are in a safe and secure environment.
