All children and staff dressed-up as their favourite character from a book, short story or poem and then took to the catwalk for a really fun show! Our school theatre was a kaleidoscope of literary colours, complete with catwalk, lights, music and a judges' panel tasked with the difficult job of handing out prizes for the best costumes.

Everyone, from students to teachers, looked amazing. The children’s love of books shone through with some unique and really beautiful costumes: we had a VERY Hungry Caterpillar, Hetty Feather, Sherlock Holmes, the Tree House, Doctor Who, Gangsta Granny, the Suffragette, Horrible Histories, Too Many Animals...and many more!

How could the judges decide? Such a difficult task, but they did reach a decision in the end so here's the list of winners:

F1 – Hungry Caterpillar – Carl Christian J.
F2 – Tintin – Arthur B.
Foundation stage Most original / Handmade: Box of crayons – Arhan T.

Y1 – Jack Sparrow – Nikita P.
Y2 – Little Red Riding Hood – Aleksandra O.
Y3 – Mary Poppins – Sophia H.
Key Stage 1 Most Original / Handmade: The Queen of Hearts – Constance M.

Y4 – Scarecrow – Janah K.

Thank you to all the students who took part and to the parents who helped out making these wonderful costumes, we all had a fabulous time celebrating stories & our favourite books of all times!
