The vision behind the new enhanced Secondary curriculum at LCIS has been developed to offer an innovative educational model with a solid framework. On a steadfast base of IGCSE and a core of conceptual learning that challenges our students to think on a global scale; our young people are empowered to be the very best that they can be.
The key MYP elements we’ll introduce are: the Theory of Knowledge, which links back to the Philosophy for Children programme within our Primary School, preparing students for this key area of the Core at Diploma level; the extended essay as a natural progression from the MYP Personal Project and an ideal preparation for the assignment at DP level, and an approach to service learning, one of the pillars of the MYP that our students would carry throughout their IGCSEs as part of their core studies.
