Our dedicated Performing Arts department prides itself on providing unique experiences that bridge cultural and artistic divides, exposing students to professional industry experts and fostering in our students the confidence to explore their creative potential. The interplay between the collaborative, yet highly personal experiences makes the Performing Arts at LCIS a powerful vehicle for individual expression, interpretation and understanding, and most importantly, personal growth.
Mr. Justin Brooks, Director of Performing Arts, comments: “Due to the impact of the pandemic, we are unable to run the very successful London Theatre Experience this year. Knowing how important this trip is to our community and especially to our young actors and musicians, we have been considering a way to bring the West End directly to La Côte.”
Leveraging their connections with artists in the theatre and music industry, our Performing Arts team is thrilled to announce a unique Virtual Performing Arts experience that will take place on 29 and 30 March 2021 for students studying Drama, Music and Theatre at higher level: 'The LCIS Performing Arts Masterclasses'.
Mr. Brooks continues: “As a department, we personally value the direct connection we have with a number of theatre artists and we thrive on providing exclusive opportunities for our students, knowing that the power and influence these encounters have on our young generation is indeed invaluable. We are extremely excited for this event, and although we cannot offer it to everyone at this time, we will be exploring further opportunities in the year ahead, in person, and in London. Even though the stages are dark, our theatre light continues to shine bright!“
