Since achieving an Honours Degree in Primary Education in 2010 from Aberdeen University, Mark has had the pleasure of teaching children from varied backgrounds and cultures in Scotland, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Mark has enjoyed teaching across both Key Stage 1 and 2 and endeavors to create a positive ethos within his class; providing stimulating and innovative learning experiences to support and challenge children in achieving their full potential. He has a passion not only for supporting children to excel in academic attainment, but ensuring they flourish as happy individuals; developing confidence, communication and empathy towards others. During his teaching career, Mark has also taken on various additional roles such as Maths subject leader, Head of Upper School and, most recently, Head of Infant Department and Whole School Assessment Coordinator.
Outside of school, Mark enjoys spending plenty of time with his family; his wife and 2 young children. He is very much looking forward to moving to Switzerland and enjoying the outdoors. Mark enjoys keeping fit and has taken part in several 10km races and a half marathon.
