Emma Fisher

Teacher of English - Secondary School

Originally from England, Emma completed her BA in English Language and Literature at the University of Hertfordshire before gaining her QTS. After qualifying, Emma worked at a mixed comprehensive school in her home town before leaving to fulfil her lifelong dream of travelling.

Emma volunteered in Ecuador, helping to build a school in a local community on the coast before travelling around the rest of South America. She moved on to Fiji, Australia, New Zealand and Bali before eventually settling in Bangkok, Thailand - where she met her partner Kevin. After spending almost 5 years in Asia, they decided it was time to move the family a little closer to home - joining the English department at La Côte International School in 2019.

Emma has stereotypical English Teacher hobbies, such as reading, writing and spoken word - but is also completely at home in the outdoors. Enjoying a range of physical activities, including hiking, running, cycling and yoga.
