Your child will have the chance to absorb sights and knowledge outside of the classroom. By joining us on our safe and well-planned programme of trips, they will visit areas of interest that will excite and inspire them, and bring their subjects to life.
La Côte International School is located in an area which is rich with learning experiences. Nearby towns and villages, local geography and landmarks all offer the opportunity to teach vivid lessons about subjects on the curriculum.
We have our own school bus fleet to make these trips much safer and easier for students and staff. All of our trips are fully staffed by teachers as well as specialist tutors.
We also believe that longer stays help to develop valuable social skills for students. From Year 1 primary students attend a residential camp every year. We use established residential centres and book exclusive-use stays for these extracurricular activities.
Trips are also a good way to offer physical education. Students from Year 5 and above have the opportunity to attend a one-week ski camp every February, which uses local ski instructors and high-quality accommodation. The students are supervised by school staff during the entire week.
Middle Years Programme students attend a one-week residential cultural or adventure course every year, which fosters team building and co-operation while giving them the chance to enjoy the beautiful Swiss countryside.
Safety and wellbeing
Your child's safety is our most important priority. We brief parents at in-school sessions before all trips, and risk assessments are always conducted in advance. You will be kept informed of your child's whereabouts and will be made aware of the staff members responsible for their welfare.
