Year 5 Teacher

It is a joy to teach at BCB and be part of a community where family values and a love of learning are at the heart of what we do. Coming from bilingual schools in both China and Vietnam it is great once more to return to an international community. The different backgrounds and experiences of both our teachers, students and parents enriches our curriculum and what we have to offer.

I have been in education for over 25 years, most of which has been teaching and leadership in primary schools. I have taught in all year groups but Upper Key Stage 2 has always been a favourite of mine. It is wonderful to teach the children when they are coming towards the end of their time as a primary student; they have such strong thoughts and opinions and you begin to get a sense of the adult they will become.

Having spent over 10 years of my career working in Asia, the move to Brazil and South America was a new exciting adventure for my husband and I. Travel has always been a passion of mine so I am very much looking forward to exploring a new continent and experiencing the different cultures, traditions and festivals.
