Year 1 Teacher

Having just recently arrived after living in a rural village just south of Bristol, Sao Paulo is a very exciting change of environment for me!

I have been teaching in the UK for the last couple of years now, having recently trained with a degree in International Education and a PGCE at Bath Spa University.

I was particularly interested in having this opportunity to live in Brazil due to the fact that as a child I lived a very international life.  From a very young age, I have attended international, local and Montessori schools in France and Holland. Thanks to these experiences, I have a great curiosity in immersing myself into different cultures and learning new languages. I cannot wait to experience Brazilian life and learn some Portuguese!

I have a huge passion and commitment to working with children and place a big importance on developing strong relationships. Once the relationships are developed, then the learning can take place. My ethos as a teacher is all about developing children as independent learners so that they can succeed in real life and become well-rounded, citizens of the world.

During my spare time, I enjoy running, yoga and exploring new places. I feel honored to have joined the BCB family and to working in a school that has an excellent reputation across Sao Paulo.
