At BCB, students are stretched both academically, socially and physically by a challenging international curriculum and by the diversity of cultures they are exposed to. They also have many opportunities to enrich their learning through educational and team building trips and events.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), I went on a gap year to Europe and ended up in London after 8 months travelling. There my goal was to improve my english language skills while trying to work in the area I had graduated. Within a few months, I started working as a supply teacher across many schools in London and ended up being appointed as a permanent PE teacher in a school in Hounslow, Heston Community School. After almost eight years in the UK, I was ready for another international challenge. This time in Guanzhou, China at Utahloy International School. There, I taught MYP PE and coached both high school swimming and volleyball teams.
In 2015 I accepted the role of Head of PE at BCB and during my time here I had the opportunity to accompany students to fantastic places around Brazil and the world. We visited the PETAR caves, Chapada dos Veadeiros and went all the way to Orlando to play NAE’s Global Games. We have also achieved great things as introducing a unique sailing programme, which gives all of our KS3 students the opportunity to learn how to sail and compete in regattas.
I was born in Campinas, Sao Paulo and went to In my free time I enjoy keeping fit and playing sports. I usually go running and swimming but also love playing volleyball. I also play guitar and help the music department whenever they need a band to accompany their singers or be in the band for their musicals. When travelling, I usually go for hikes, boat trips and scuba diving. I love watching the sunset over the sea in the middle of the ocean.
